My favourite photo of 2015!

10. The music road trip from Nashville to New Orleans
My husband and I travelled with my parents from Nashville, which we were hugely surprised and delighted by, to Memphis where we walked on Beale Street and visited Elvis’s house, then on we drove to New Orleans where we met my brother and his family for a few days. It was utterly brilliant.

9.  7 cool rooftop bars around Santa Monica
I have been adding to this post over the years, taking out some bars that are not quite in Santa Monica and replacing them with others that I keep finding each time I visit. This is my favourite part of Los Angeles, so have a read of my hotel reviews and things to do too if you’re looking for a place to stay in LA.

8.  5 great things to do in Oman
I’m often asked where my favourite place in the world is. It’s a tough question! I mean how can you compare watching bears eat salmon in a river in Alaska to climbing over the ruins of Machu Picchu?? But if I’m really pushed I’ll say it’s Oman. I just loved it’s traditional ways, the ancient souks for buying silver, the wafting smell of frankincense. Amaze.

7.  Where to shop in Hong Kong
I visited Hong Kong in 2015 and this post has rocketed into the Top 10 already of all time. It’s a guide to 7 different places to shop from street markets to malls with air conditioning and high-end fashion labels, plus a couple of surprises where local designers sell their wares.

6.  I joined the Emirates crew makeup lesson!
I learned some startling facts about makeup and skin care when I was invited to drop into the Emirates makeup lessons for new crew in Dubai. Like for every night you fall into bed with your makeup on you age your skin by 14 days. Aaaghhh! Read this post if you dare…

5.  Download a free haka ringtone
This post was popular during the Rugby World Cup! I link you to a site full of free ringtones including the page of All Blacks hakas.

4.  The All Blacks kapa o pango haka translated
It’s not often the Ka Mate haka is replaced by Kapa o Pango at the start of an All Blacks rugby test, so when it is, it’s a special moment. This post looks at the lyrics and their translation of this haka written specifically for the ABs.

3.  What power adapters do I need when I travel?
I wrote this post after my frustration with a multi power plug that was so loose it would fall out of the wall and had to be propped up with books. Now I just take the appropriate power plug and a little multiboard so I can charge all my gadgets at once!

2.  Drive the Pacific Coast Highway from LA to San Francisco
Probably the best road trip I’ve ever done to be honest. I went with my cuz and bestie Kate, and we sang and drove our way from Santa Monica to San Francisco in five days. This post is a day by day itinerary of where we stopped, stayed and played.

1.  Which countries require six months passport validity?
And the winner is this post! It’s full of links to the appropriate consulate so you don’t have to take my word for it, but if you have any doubts about your passport validity for wherever you’re going, I have 27 countries passport info right here!
