When in trouble, tweet!
I was in Singapore just passing through to London to start a Rail Europe 8-day chug through Belgium, France and Switzerland.
This was my room: a cheap as chips room kinda far from anywhere, and let’s be frank, kinda sad.
Room 1
Then I tweeted. “Aagh stuck in dingy hotel in Singapore!,” I said. And guess who was listening? Only Small Luxury Hotels (!!) who whipped back a cheeky reply, ‘oh you should be staying at Sentosa Resort and Spa‘.
“Yes I should,” I cyber bellowed back and after a couple of emails and phone calls, this is now my room.
Room 2
Yes, that’s champagne on ice.
