I have just spent a few hours in Cannes (pronounced CAN), the film festival capital of the world, and if you only have a day, then take Le Petit Train for €10 for an hour’s ride all over this wealthy, stylish and fabulous city on the French Riviera.
This post is a thumb-scroll of what you’ll see from the train and near the cruise port… Go!
On cruise ship day there’s a big line for tickets, but do this first and then decide where to go back to for a wine in the sun!
On cruise ship day local African vendors line their wares up on the sea wall. Hats and selfie sticks!
Jump on board this dinky wee train for a tenner and see the best of Cannes
The Georgio Armani Cafe
Spot the star on the kind of reddish carpet!
What is left of the hotel La Mal Maison where Grace Kelly met Prince Ranier
On the beach
These restaurants charge like they’re waterfront on the French Riviera!
The boys get a break from filming
Along the waterfront with the beach and boardwalk behind me
Believe it or not you can actually squeeze a second person in the back!
The perfect spot for a glass of wine watching the boats bobbing across the road
The view from the Church of Our Lady – where the little train also brings you
On the square to the left a little market was underway selling jewellery and art
Just a cute back street
Parking is not for the tame!
The public toilet at the wharf!
Sorbet and chantilly at The Melting Pot with the boats in front
