Save $40 on your next hotel booking!

Sadly this campaign has now ended.

If you are heading away on holiday or perhaps you just fancy heading away on holiday, I have an amazing offer to make it even easier…

I’m so excited to be able to partner with huge worldwide accommodation booking site Booking.com to offer you NZ$40 (€25/US$25) off your next booking ANYWHERE in the world for bookings over NZ$80!

I’m already a fan of Booking.com and use it to browse and book properties all the time, after all they have 1.2 million accommodations so you name it and they’ll have it.

So you can imagine how my eyes lit up when they called and said, “we’re running a campaign and want to offer your readers a discount, you want in?” They’d barely finished speaking before I shouted YES, and here we are.

All you do is jump into their website using my unique link (below) and if you spend over NZ$80 you’ll get a discount of NZ$40 (which equates to about €25, or the local equivalent in your currency) which will be credited back to your card after you’ve stayed and boom, you’re away laughing!

Here is a pic of what you should see on your screen so you know the link is working…

Note: after you have stayed, you will get an email from Booking explaining how to receive your refund onto your credit card.

Also note: you can only use this link once. If you’ve used my unique link ID before you won’t see the above box.

your link seems to be no longer working. Would you please check? Thanks

Hi Cherish, you are right. At the moment it is showing my readers the link has expired, but this is a bug and I am told they will give me a new link to resume the promotion over night tonight. If that happens I will be able to add that and we will be off again in the next couple of days. I'll add another note here when that is done. -Megan

Hello,

I used your link for a hotel almost two weeks ago, but still haven’t received anything back. The status of my booking is that I am still staying at the hotel. May I expect that I will be credited in the bext two weeks?

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards, Stefani

Hi Stefani, within 30 days after you've stayed and paid (because the money isn't taken from your credit card until after you have stayed, hence being able to cancel within a couple of weeks of staying) you'll get an email explaining how to receive your credit. I gather that if your status says you are still to stay then you haven't done that yet, or is that the problem? - Megan

Hi Megan, is your link and offer still valid? I clicked on it and it seems it is but just wanted to confirm that it wasn't expired. Thanks!

Hi Susie, it sure is! As long as this is your first time using my link. You will then claim your $40 back after your stay. They will email you.

Hi Megan, I love you blog - and particularly this $40 cash back opportunities. We recently went on a road trip to Wellington and I was careful to use tyour link when booking the 3 properties we stayed at. I have had emails from Booking.com telling me to refer a friend, but none with how to redeem the 3 x $40. Can you help me out please. Stayed in Taupo, Wellington and New Plymouth. Many thanks, Hilary

Hi Hilary I can see a few not-eligible and a couple of cancelled bookings under Hilary on my list. I have no idea why they would be ineligible but here are the terms and conditions. Have a read and if you think it's wrong let me know and I'll ask the PR company for Booking.com to look into it. https://www.booking.com/content/referral-terms.en-gb.html?aid=939121;sid=8c0cee76e37fc2805765d9d58a34b0ad Megan

Hi Darryl, I've checked my Booking.com admin and all looks in order. I can send your query to them, but just double checking as the credit will be added to the credit card you used to book your room. Just let me know if you don't see it there and I'll take it further. - Megan
