I’ve been travelling since I was a 17-year old exchange student to Maryland, USA, followed by five years in London before returning back to New Zealand where I have my base for leaping around the world from.
I love accents and find that when I travel I add a little twang or I slow down, or articulate better or even splash out my best “pigeon” all because I hate repeating myself and I’ve learned that if I want to be understood first time, try to sound (a bit) like your listener.
